EXPEDITOR Pasadena location  $25-38 DOE

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

·         Minimum 5 years experience in the petrochemical or related industry in materials management mainly the spare parts management, with emphasis on Identification, Purchasing and Expediting.

·         Experience with database materials management system is a necessity.

·         A proactive, goal-oriented approach to project expediting is imperative.

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills are a prerequisite.

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Pro-actively works with project management, engineering, materials management and the vendor/sub-vendors to assure that “receive on site” contractual requirements are satisfied.

·         Responsible for direct vendor contact with assigned vendors or sub-vendors.

·         Contract requirements are communicated to the vendor and progress of vendor engineering, material procurement, manufacturing, and delivery is reported to the project in accordance with project procedures.

·         Takes daily direction from the Operability Manager or Maintenance Development Engineer in the Project Task force.

·         Travel is prerequisite of this position as visits to vendor shops are required to maintain delivery schedules on manufactured spare parts.

·         Accountable for expediting the Acknowledgment/ Acceptance copy of the Purchase Orders, vendor material procurement, vendor drawings, manufacturing, fabrication, transportation to the Freight forwarders and jobsite and obtaining proper receiving information to complete orders.

·         Assures that delivery of material and equipment to the jobsite satisfies the construction schedule requirements.

·         Issues written Expediting Reports and special status report to inform all persons involved of current vendor and delivery status.

·         Notifies the Inspection Department and/or Inspector of final inspection if applicable.

 

 

 

 

 

PURCHASING CLERK

The candidate will be asked to maintain inventory, shop supplies, and tool room while reporting to the Depot Manager. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

·  Good communication and interpersonal skills

·  Problem solving skills

·  Organized

·  Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

·  Sends and receives parts from vendors

·  Contacts vendors on status of purchase orders

·  Maintains inventory levels

·  Confirm deliveries, track items

·  Enter Purchase Orders and receipts into system

·  Work closely with shop personnel

·  Update part pricing

·  Research invoices

·  Research and provide pricing on outside services and parts

·  Other job duties as assigned

·  High school education or equivalent

·  Transportation background helpful

·  Salary  $13.00- $15.00 an hour
